Zephyr Cove Camp Grounds & RV Park
Walking distance to the beach, just cross Hi. 50 with all water amenities, jet skies, boat rentals. Zephyr Cove Restaurant, with a lodge, and cabins available for the less out door types. There are also cruise boats waiting at the pier for those that want to leave the driving to the Pro‘s. There is a regulation volley ball court and the Sunset Bar & Grill on the beach. This
resort is just 4 miles from the Casinos and the night life.

Nevada State Beach
This is a waterfront campground with remarkable views and one of the largest sandy beaches 7/10 of a mile long and 300 feet wide. There are picnic tables but very few shady spots in the sand, all a short walk from your campsite. There are very few services, running water for cleaning dishes, bathrooms. It is two miles from the CA./NV. Stateline headed east, make a left turn at Elk Point Rd. and Hi. 50. If you made a right turn you will be in the Round Hill Mall that does have a Safeway Store that is open 24/7 with lots of ice and food for those hungry campers. Camp sites can be reserved at ReserveAmerica.com

Campground by the Lake
It is located in the center of the City South Lake Tahoe, and operated by the city. I relate it to sleeping in a WalMart parking lot only you have to pay. It is has easy access to beaches but has way more highway frontage and traffic than I want for my camping experience. You have access to Regan Beach after crossing Hi 50 which has a sandy beach, the boat launch is closed. Like the airlines they charge extra for everything except breathing.

Tahoe Valley Campground
This campground can handle what ever size group or size RV you have with all services. There are full service bathrooms and laundry facilities,
and is canine friendly. It is located off Hi. 50 at the Y of South Lake Tahoe. There is easy access to grocery shopping at the South Y Center. You are also very close to my favorite breakfast place Berts open from 7:00 to 2:00
at 1146 Emerald Bay Rd. (Hi.50)

Camp Richardson
Take Hi 89 headed North and Camp Richardson is the first place you will
come to after leaving the city of So. Lake Tahoe. They do have it all,
camp grounds, RV hook ups, and, lodging, and cabins. This is a larger
property that has extensive beach, marina and pier facilities. There is only
one no no animals. There is a great beachfront bar and restaurant with outside dining and lake views, bike rentals and some great bike trails
that I would rate as easy and paved. There is a really great family run stables just past Jameson Beach Rd. on the left.

Fallen Leaf Campground
A very nice setting within biking distance of Camp Richardson. Very
level terrain with lots of shade trees. There are bathrooms and showers
The camp sites will handle smaller trailers and RV’s. It puts you closer to Fallen Leaf Lake for some good fishing and bike trails but is not on the lake. This is only open during the summer months 05/15 to 10/01.
